Spoilers alert!
Disney+ introduced the Star Wars show as a six-episode limited-event series set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, reuniting Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) for the first time since the prequel trilogy. Despite breaking the viewership record (the series became the most-watched Disney+ premiere worldwide), Kennedy says there are no plans for a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
I always hesitate not to say anything more about Obi-Wan Kenobi. Maybe we’ll eventually do something that will be incorporated into some of the other stories we’re doing or eventually into a movie, but who knows? At the moment, this is still our standard standalone limited series. We have no expansion plans at the moment

Attention! The rest may contain spoilers!
At the end of the first season, Obi-Wan saved young Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) and Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely) from Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram) before reconnecting with his old Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) through the Force. McGregor, who physically reprized his role for the first time since 2005’s Revenge of the Sith , said in January that he hoped Lucasfilm would order more episodes of Obi-Wan .
I was so happy to do it again and so happy to be working with Hayden again. I hope we will have the opportunity to do it again.
McGregor said during a virtual chat on the Disney Studios Awards website
After doing the voiceovers in 2015’s The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The 2019 revival limited series was an opportunity to bring to the screen what happened after Obi-Wan and Vader’s climactic showdown on Mustafar and their final confrontation aboard the Death Star many years later .
In the old days, I used to joke: Between Episode III and VI there must be a good story to tell. But it is true. I’ve always felt that it is. I feel like [series director] Deborah Chow found it and absolutely nailed it … she just found the story we wanted to see between the last one we did and the first one that was done in [1977]. [Obi-Wan Kenobi ] adds to our knowledge of the characters and is rewarding… for the fans.
