The first part of BioWare’s Dragon Age series of computer role-playing games – Dragon Age: Origins – was released in 2009. Promoted by the studio as the spiritual heir to the iconic Baldur’s Gate , it won a crowd of loyal fans and saw two sequels. The studio also officially announced that work is underway on the fourth part, which is expected to premiere at the turn of 2020/2021.
