John Jospeh Travolta was born on February 18, 1954. He was most famous for his roles in “Saturday Night Fever”, “Pulp Fiction” and the musical “Grease”. Today it is celebrating its 67th birthday.

John Travolta is the youngest of six children of a semi-professional American football player and drama teacher and singer in the band Sunshine Sisters. His mother enrolled him in an acting school, where he studied dance, singing and acting. At the age of 16, he starred in the musical  Bye Bye Birdie . He dropped out of high school after first grade and decided to start working. He appeared in television commercials and landed a role in the Broadway play Over Here! during which he sang the song  Dream Drummin . He also recorded his own songs at local studios, but none of them gained popularity.

In 1972, he appeared in an episode of Emergency , while his debut on the big screen was the movie  Devil’s Downpour (1975). He also played, among others in 1976 Carrie , Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978),  Two of a Kind (1983),  Who Says It (1989, 1990 & 1993), Pulp Fiction ( 1994.),  Michael (1996).,  Phenomenon (1996.),  face (1997.),  the Battle of the Earth (2000)., and in the film adaptation of  the Punisher in 2004.

In John Travolta’s career there were both successful and not very successful productions. As a result, he currently has numerous nominations and awards, such as two Oscar nominations (for  Saturday Night Fever  and  Pulp Fiction ), one for the British Film Academy Award or seven for the Golden Globe, one of which was a win Get the little one ). At the same time, the actor is the winner of six Golden Raspberries, for which he was nominated 17 times in total.
