Four years after the last part was released, another one is to be released. The new Wipeout has been launched on PS5.
The author of the entry that sparked the presumption of the new Wipeout is Shepsal Nick from Xboxer. He wrote in a Twitter post that he had been told that the racing game was back and that it would be available on PS5 and VR2. In addition, he added that it would likely be the XDA Developers project.
Sony has yet to disclose any information about VR2, although news is circulating on the Internet about the alleged arrival of the new kit in 2022. If this scenario is true, Wipeout fans will have to wait a little longer for any official announcement about the game.
Wipeout appeared on consoles 26 years ago. SCE Studio Liverpool has so far released 9 games in the series and the Wipeout Omega Collection (2017), featuring the last three installments and an expansion pack.
