Focused on young heroes, the series was canceled even before its debut.
The Marvel TV branch has already shown that it has varying degrees of luck for its series. The productions made for Netflix had a rather positive reception, but there were complete mishaps like Inhumans . New Warriors , however, is a completely different story. The picture in the comedy convention and focusing on a group of young heroes did not even get a chance to debut.
The production was originally to be broadcast on Freeform. Unfortunately, at the end of 2017, the idea was abandoned and New Warriors had to look for a new home. Despite the numerous opportunities that loomed on the horizon, no one decided to take over the series. Both the ABC station and Hulu services or the soon to start Disney + did not take up this challenge. Now, unfortunately, the warriors will end up in the basket, despite the positive opinions of producers and heads of the Freeform TV station about the pilot episode.
New Warriors had a complete crew and cast. Showrunner Kevin Biegel and executive producer Jeph Loeb were to supervise the series. The main roles in the series were taken by Milana Vayntrub, Callum Worthy, Matthew Moy, Keith David, Kate Comer, Derek Theler and Jeremy Tandy. They were supposed to play heroes such as Night Thrasher, Speedball, Mister Immortal or the quite popular Squirrel Girl.
