In addition, the presence of a crystal-related combat mechanic was confirmed, as well as an unusual function for legendary creatures.
Regional forms of Pokemon are a constant element of games from the seventh generation (versions of Sun , Moon , Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon ), so it is not surprising that more will appear in new titles. The aforementioned Wooper will be of the poison-earth type. The next two, this time completely new Pokemon are called Fidough and Cetitan. The first is a dog-like fairy creature, and the second is similar to a strange ice-type land whale.

The new combat mechanic that can be seen in the trailer is called the Terastal Phenomenon. It covers the selected Pokemon with a crystal and increases the strength of its attacks. To use this phenomenon, players will first need to get the so-called A Tera Orb that needs to be recharged after each use. Additionally, with this new phenomenon, Pokemon will gain a new type – Tera Type. Based on this factor, it will be determined which attacks will be boosted.
Probably the weirdest part of the whole trailer was the disclosure that the new legendary Pokemon will also serve as a means of transport around the region. They will receive an additional form, which, depending on whether we use Koraidon or Miraidon, will resemble a motorcycle or a quad bike. It remains a mystery at what stage of the game these two Pokemon will become available.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will debut on November 18 this year on the Nintendo Switch console.
