Migration arrives with a brand new trailer from Illumination and Universal Pictures. In the new film, a group of ducks adjust to life after their annual migration from New England is disrupted.
Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri spoke to Variety about the film Migration . He announced that it will be a completely new story that has never been before.
It represents Illumination’s ongoing commitment, though it is not easy. Telling original stories is absolutely essential to culture. Apparently, viewers love our style – as you can see from the reactions to Super Mario Bros. Movie.Illumination describes the animated feature “Take off on a new adventure this Christmas.” The film is beautiful and has an artistic feel that stands out from what we’ve done in Illumination. The story is told with humor and heart. It is an extraordinary adventure that you can identify with. The characters struggle with problems that we all understand, even though they are ducks. Their features are incredibly well crafted, from the smallest details on the feather, to their movements and flight. So it’s a movie that takes us to this sky-high world, but at the same time it’s very true to who we are.
