Both the Witch Queen expansion and the Season of the Risen follow the Guardians who will fight to regain Light from the hands of the Swarm goddess Savathûn. After more than a year of discovering the Witch Queen’s deceptions, the Rangers take a face-to-face battle with Savathûn, exploring the Throne World, her secret seat of power, and many new locations in Destiny 2 . Countless challenges await them there, including the emergence of the Shining Tribe – enemy members of the Hive who now wield the same powers that have been used by the Guardians for centuries. In the season of the Risen Players use the Light-suppressing technology granted to them as part of a complicated alliance with the Empress Caiatl Combine to counter the growing army of the Light-infused Swarm of the Witch Queen.
