Today, a new trailer of the Marvel animated series about the adventures of well-known heroes in alternative realities has been published. We also got to know the official release date of the production.
In the new material, we can see more scenes from the animation. Among them are new fragments with Captain Carter, T’Challa as Star-Lord, Erik Killmonger and more. It seems that this year Marvel wants to serve its fans a never-ending streak of movies and series, as this production will debut next month. The premiere on Disney + is scheduled for August 11.
The inspiration for What If…? there are Marvel comics dealing with the question of what the adventures of well-known heroes would look like if a few details were changed in them. As a rule, these titles are limited to single numbers for each alternate reality. The narrator of the production will be the Observer, a representative of a race of cosmic archivists writing the history of countless worlds, beings and parallel worlds. They already appeared in two short scenes in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 .
In What If …? Actors and actresses known from the MCU will lend their voices. They will include Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Brolin, Hayley Atwell, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Natalie Portman, Michael Douglas, Michael B. Jordan, Sebastian Stan, Michael Rooker, Tom Hiddleston, and Chadwick Boseman. In the role of Observer, we will hear the well-known, among others from Westworld , Jeffrey Wright.
