Stranger Things will end with the upcoming season, but that doesn’t mean the franchise is ending as the theatrical play that takes place in the series’ universe has already been announced. Netflix has revealed a teaser that confirms that updates on the project will be coming soon.
Details are coming this week, however, it’s unclear if we can expect a full breakdown of the project’s narrative, or if we’ll just get updates on the cast or release date.
The Stranger Things On Stage account’s first tweet shared the words: ”
Stranger Things New Story … Tomorrow. 11am GMT
The hashtag #StrangerThingsOnStage also appeared. When the graphic reads “Coming Soon”, a 1 and two 0s are highlighted, which may have some meaning for the project itself or a more unobvious explanation that we will find out tomorrow.
The show itself was first announced last summer along with several of the creators involved. The project will be produced by Sonia Friedman and directed by Stephen Daldry.
The play was the first announced spinoff of the original series, also coinciding with creators Matt and Ross Duffer’s announcement of the formation of their production company, Upside Down Pictures. The group aims to create the kind of stories that inspired the Duffers growing up.
Stories that take place at beautiful crossroads, where the ordinary meets the extraordinary, where a great spectacle meets intimate dramas, where the heart prevails over cynicism.

The upcoming Season 5 of Stranger Things will be his last. However, there are reports of franchise spinoffs, with only an upcoming stage play announced so far.
