Speculation about the summer edition of State of Play, a special event organized by Sony, has just ended. It was announced on Tuesday that it would take place tomorrow.
The broadcast on July 8, scheduled for 23:00 Polish time, will take place almost a month after this year’s E3 and Summer Game Fest. As already officially confirmed, it will take around 30 minutes and will include presentations of various titles that will appear on PlayStation consoles.
It is already known that one of them will be published by Bethesda Deathloop, the upcoming adventure game from Arkane Studios, telling the story of two assassins – Colt and Julianna, on the island of Blackreef plunged into chaos. Its premiere is scheduled for September this year and therefore Sony has announced a 9-minute show of its content. It may be a presentation of the combat system depending on the player’s preferred style of play.
Although the title is the only production that will definitely appear on State of Play, there are a few projects that we shouldn’t expect at all. One of them, contrary to many rumors, is the new version of God of War, awaited by many , the other is Horizon Forbidden West. Especially the absence of the latter is very likely given the fact that the game not so long ago had its own State of Play fully dedicated to it. Sony also confirmed that another PlayStation VR will not be available during the broadcast.
Everything seems to indicate that players cannot count on the loudest titles from PlayStation. This, however, gives a chance for the presence of several independent titles. One of them is Abandoned , the upcoming horror movie from Blue Box Game Studios and an exclusive title for Sony’s latest generation consoles.
