New spinoff “How to Train Your Dragon” announced

Soon fans of dragons from DreamWorks will see the new installment of the series. This time, however, the action will be transferred to the future.

DreamWorks Animation has revealed that the new production entitled Dragons: The Nine Realms will be a series. Interestingly, this time the action will not focus on the next adventures of Czkawka, Szczerbatek and other well-known heroes. The plot will be set in times similar to ours.

According to the description, the action of the picture is to take place 1,300 years after the events of the movies. In this new world, dragons are only part of the legends. This is the case until a huge fissure forms on the Earth’s surface as a result of a geological anomaly. Scientists from all over the world come to the scene to study the phenomenon. Soon after, a group of rebellious kids discover that the breach leads to a land hidden beneath the surface of the planet, inhabited by amazing creatures known from fairy tales.

Jeremy Shada will play the main role in the series, known e.g. from the role of Finn in the animation Adventure Time . John Tellegen was the production showrunner. He will also serve as executive producer with Chuck Asten and Henry Gilroy.

The premiere of Dragons: The Nine Realms is scheduled for December 23 this year. Unfortunately, the image is to appear only on Hulu and Peacock streaming services for now. So far, there is no information about a possible issue in our country.
