The long-awaited sequel to “Sailor Moon” will soon hit the screens of cinemas around the world! The makers of previous versions join forces to create ” Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie”.
Another Sailor Moon reboot is coming to Netflix. The continuation of Sailor Moon Crystal ( ended in 2016) will not be the new anime season, but two feature films adapting Dream arc of the original Naoko Takeuchi manga series. The two-part fictional project was officially named Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie Part 1 and 2 and will be created in collaboration with Toei Animation and Studio DEEN.
The second installment of the series was released in Japan earlier this year, so fans wondered when the movie would be available in other games. They don’t have to wait for this news anymore! Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie hits theaters around the world (except Japan) on June 3rd! Netflix has released a new trailer for this release, which you can see in the video below.
What will Usagi Tsukino be up against this time? As we read in the official description of Netflix:
The upcoming adventures unfold in April when the cherry blossoms are in bloom, and Tokyo is in a festive mood as it celebrates the largest total solar eclipse of this century. As the new moon obscures the sun and gradually dims its light, Usagi and Chibi-Usa will encounter Pegasus, seeking a Girl of their choice who can break the seal of the Golden Crystal.
Meanwhile, a mysterious corpse called the Circus of the Dead Moon appears in the city, whose nefarious plan is to disperse the nightmarish incarnations known as Lemurs, take over the “Legendary Silver Crystal”, dominate the Moon and Earth, and finally dominate the entire universe …
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie will be directed by Chiaki Kon, who also featured in the anime production Sailor Moon Crystal. Naoko Takeuchi , the creator of the original series, is working on the project as the creative supervisor, while Kazuko Tadano returns from the original Sailor Moon anime from the 90s to create the character designs for the two feature films Sailor Moon Eternal .
