The COVID-19 pandemic has forced Hollywood to make major changes to the plans not only of production, but also of the film premieres themselves. Here’s a new calendar for the coming years from Walt Disney Studios.
While other studios use the ability to stream movies through general platforms such as Netflix and Amazon, Walt Disney Studios takes a slightly different path when it comes to their premieres. Titles with Mickey Mouse ears will either go to cinemas or directly to the Disney + server. Unfortunately, the first option definitely prevails, the effects of which, in the face of the pandemic, we will probably see in the near future.
The previously announced premieres have been reshuffled with dates. Despite the pandemic, Disney, at least for the moment, decides not to distribute movies via internet streaming. So far only Mulan (2020) has followed this path , and what’s in the soul is following her , announced for Christmas this year.
