Ariel from the new film version of The Little Mermaid has already got her doll. The toy was released by Mattel. Does she really look like Halle Bailey?
The doll, promoting Disney’s upcoming live-action film The Little Mermaid , has brown hair and a blue and purple tail. It measures approx. 33 cm in length.

In the upcoming version of The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey will play the title character, with Jacob Tremblay as Florek, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric. In addition, Javier Bardem will play King Triton, and his rival, the sinister to the core Ursula, Melissa McCarthy.
The production is directed by Rob Marshall ( Mary Poppins Returns ), with a screenplay by David Magee and Jane Goldman. Songs from the original 1989 animation will be used in the film as seen in the trailer, although Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda have composed some new songs.
