Reportedly, Netflix’s The Witcher will see another spin-off. To the surprise of many, the series about Geralt turned out to be a hit on the platform. Although the idea of poor results was not predicted, some were surprised by the scale of success. Fantasy is quite a difficult niche to break out of, given the very high bar in the form of such giants as Game of Thrones or The Lord of the Rings . According to Redanian Intelligence , Netflix is developing a project for a new The Witcher spin-off centered around ‘an infamous group of young Nilfgaardian misfits called the Rats’. This is a group known from the books and according to reports, it is to appear in the main series, specifically in season 3. We will probably see the Rats in season four, but before that we will see a spin-off dedicated to them. At the moment it is not known when the alleged spin-off will actually appear on the screens, but we will probably get more details after the release of the third season of The Witcher.
