The Netflix series Locke & Key has its last season. The decision was made not only by Netflix, but also by the creators of the production. Below is the official showrunner statement that Locke & Key’s length was pre-planned:
When we started working on the show, we felt that three seasons were the perfect length to present the story of the Locke family and their Keyhouse in a satisfying way. As those in charge of the story, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to present our version of this amazing story of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez as we wanted. After all, we keep the magic keys for our own use.
Despite the fact that this fantastic adventure is coming to an end, it is still worth getting interested in the series. It tells the story of three siblings and their mother who, after their father’s death, move to their new home, Keyhouse. There they find a lot of magic keys that may have something to do with their father’s passing. When the Locke siblings begin examining the keys and discovering their unusual properties, a demon wakes up in the house and won’t let go until he has them all.
