Netflix has officially announced that the upcoming live action series Resident Evil will hit the platform on July 14th! It is going to be made of eight episodes and will star Lance Reddick, who will play Albert Wesker.
The plot of the series is to be a completely new direction for the entire Resident Evil series . It is supposed to reveal a completely new world to us, and at the same time use events known from previous productions. Probably the action takes place in New Raccoon City instead of Raccoon City. In addition to the Resident Evil release date , Netflix also unveiled a new production:

2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights to survive in a world ruled by bloodthirsty creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade sees New Raccoon City’s past, and this one is linked to the Umbrella Corporation, her father, but most of all what happened to her sister.
As mentioned above, Netflix’s Resident Evil series is slated to release on July 14. The series stars Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, as well as Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery, with Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) being the writer and showrunner.
