Netflix Reveals ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy’ Release Date

Kadr z filmu Fullmetal Alchemist

The Fullmetal Alchemist franchise surprised fans this year by releasing not one, but two full-length acting films in Japanese cinemas, titled The Revenge of Scar and The Final Alchemy . The first production in this series has already appeared on Netflix, the above-mentioned sequel as well, so the last part of the trilogy must also be available on the streaming service. When should it be expected?

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy premiered in Japan on June 24. Coming to Netflix on September 24. Currently, there is no news about possible cinema screenings outside the Land of the Rising Sun, so we have to be content with home screens.

Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa helped publicize the acting films not only by providing new drawings of the Elric brothers, their friends and enemies, but also wrote a flattering review of the last film in the trilogy:

It was like riding a roller coaster! There were so many touching scenes and the entire production was full of suspenseful moments. The movie started from an unexpected location and as I watched it thinking how interesting it all was, two hours passed in a heartbeat and I really enjoyed it.

About halfway through the movie, Yamada surprised me so much that I forgot his name. Everything about him, from the body to the gestures, was the same as Ed. The climax scene was just perfect. That look on the Steel Alchemist’s face as if he had completely given up on everything, compared to the muscular Hohenheim… Yamada’s ability to play three roles is truly amazing. He was so faithful to the manga. I am very grateful for that. Thank you for his hard work!
