Netflix Announces Release Date And Announces New Teaser Of “Direction: Night” Series

The series “Direction: Night” will debut on the Netflix platform around the world on May 1, 2020.

 

 

“Direction: Night” is a story inspired by the book ” Starość Aksolotl” by Jacek Dukaj, who, together with Tomek Bagiński, is also the executive producer of the series. In the film, Direction: Night,  we will see Ksawery Szlenkier who will play the role of Jakub. The story begins with a catastrophic solar phenomenon that causes the star to destroy everything in its path. The action revolves around passengers and crew on an overnight flight from Brussels who decide to head west to seek refuge in the dark. On board the plane
It is the rich and the poor, the young and the old, civilians and military men from all walks of life and speakers who are fighting for survival. They all have one thing in common: the will to survive the end of the world – at any cost.

The series is directed by the Belgian duo Inti Calfat and Dirk Verheye (” Over Water” ). The Belgian label Entre Chien et Loop is responsible for the production. The creator and writer of this six-episode series is Jason George (” The Protector,” “Narcos” ), who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. The executive producers are Tomek Bagiński (” The Witcher”, “The Cathedral” ) and Jacek Dukaj.

The series will feature an international cast from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia and Turkey. The cast includes: Ksawery Szlenkier, Pauline Etienne, Laurent Capelluto, Nabil Mallat, Stéfano Cassetti, Jan Bijvoet, Astrid Whettnall, Vincent Londez, Regina Bikkinina, Alba Gaïa Bellugi, Babetida Sadjo and Mehmet Kurtulus.
