The whole concept of season two is that we take three heroes who are in Scandinavia and blast them out of their comfort zones. The second season for Harald and Leif is a journey through the trails. Thelma and Louise an amazing trip over the Dnieper. Freydís has to go to Pomerania, which is a very difficult environment.

said creator Jeb Stuart.

The second season will show that even when you hang out with people who are like you, eat like you, talk like you, you can still get into trouble. So you have to make a fuss, which I believe the Vikings did. And they did it beautifully, better than probably any other culture. So we gathered a bunch of Russian nobles, Muslim astronomers, and crooks.
