There have been rumors for several years that Netflix, Capcom and Adi Shankar are working on a new version of Devil May Cry . Now we have received confirmation that the project is underway. There was even a clip giving us a look at the main character – Dante.
Following the success of the series Castlevania , created by Adi Shankar, it was announced that the creator and Netflix would be working on even more animated projects based on famous video game franchises. Surprisingly, it included a report on a potential Devil May Cry anime . However, these rumors had been circulating since 2018 and many fans believed that the project would not come to fruition. Meanwhile, as part of the recent Netflix Drop 01 digital event , during which the first few episodes of Castlevania: Nocturne were presented , it was announced, among others: creation of the Devil May Cry anime . A first look at Dante was also presented.
At the moment, the release date of the production has not been revealed yet. It is known, however, that it will have eight episodes. It is also known that, apart from Shankar, people from Studio MIR, who previously gave us titles such as DOTA: Dragon’s Blood or The Witcher: Wolf’s Bane, will work on the new Devil May Cry .
