Prime Video announced that the production of the second season of Good omens is about to start . On this occasion, Neil Gaiman, one of the creators of the series and co-showrunner of the series, shared the first photo from the set.
An instagram post features Michael Sheen (Angel Aziraphale) and David Tennant (Demon Crowley), starring in the first season. Other cast members will also return for the new season. Paul Adeyefa, Michael McKean (Sergeant Shadwell in Season 1), Gloria Obianyo, Miranda Richardson (Mrs. Tracy), Maggie Service, Reece Shearsmith, and Nina Sosanya will appear, but it is not yet known what characters will play. According to the co-creator of the series and director Douglas Mackinnon, the cast gained new talents on both sides of the camera.
The published short storyline confirms that the second season will continue to focus on the friendship between the angel and the demon. After the apocalypse was thwarted, the heroes returned to London’s Soho. Their peaceful life is interrupted by a messenger with a mysterious message.
Six episodes are scheduled, and the official release date is yet to be known.
