Music that takes you to the world of “The Witcher” – photos from the Percival Schuttenbach Wild Hunt Live Metal concert

The end of the Synesthesia Festival. Music. Plasticity. Word. took place on November 27 at the Studio Club in Krakow. The enchanting music of Percival Schuttenbach transported listeners to the world known from the computer game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The Synesthesia Festival has been with us since 2012, and although it always focuses on many elements of Polish culture, it did not lack one of the most important elements for us, namely fantasy. The culmination of the festival was the concert of the band Percival Schuttenbach, which played an amazing, metal adaptation of the soundtrack from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . There were also songs from their newest album Wild Fields . It was a fascinating event because the band appeared in Krakow for the first time. Although, as the lead vocalist mentioned at the end of the show, not the last.

The gates of the concert opened at 18:30, and the participants were invited to consume liquors produced by Klub Studio. An hour later, the support of the concert appeared on the stage in the form of TARYA GAYAN. They defined their musical style as CosmoRetro-SynthEthno, which at first seemed not to match the style of The Witcher , but the performers defended themselves in an interesting way. Before each song, they mentioned characters from the Geralt of Rivia adventure series and thus created a wonderful atmosphere.

With a slight delay, around 20:20, the long-awaited band Percival Schuttenbach appeared on the stage. The concert started with a big bang, because with the song Silver for Monsters . What I liked the most was the fact that during the performance of each song from the Wild Hunt, the artists had gameplay recordings behind their backs that matched the thematically to the songs being played. All this sooner or later turned into an amazing immersion and reminded us why we love CD Projekt Red’s Polish production and Polish music so much. Songs from the album Wild Fieldsthey turned out to be equally fascinating and surprisingly well woven together. The proportions of the concert turned out to be perfect. As the event was about to end, the audience started chanting, “Percival! Percival.” In return for the cheers, the performers treated us to the most recognizable songs from The Witcher 3 , such as Lazare . After everything, the band took one group photo with the audience and announced their return to Krakow in September 2023.

To sum up, the concert was a perfect end to the Synesthesia festival . The music from The Witcher 3 never gets old, and Percival Schuttenbach still manages to transport fantasy fans to the world of CD Projekt Red.
