The film production from Blumhouse Productions, Jason Blum and the creator of the computer original, Scott Cawthon, received a second trailer this week.
In it we can see the familiar faces of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Foxy or Chicy and a superficial insight into the plot of the film. In the trailer, police officer Vanessa Monroe (Elizabeth Lail) tells new security guard Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) about the history of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and why it closed in the first place. The trailer ends with confirmation of a release date scheduled for October 27, when the movie will be available in theaters and you can also watch it on streaming.
The first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s was released in June in the wake of a leak that spoiled some of it, so for the first time in a while, we get to see a lot of shots and scenes beyond the occasional poster and other details. The animatronic cast of the film, upon which the Five Nights at Freddy’s series is based , appeared in the first trailer. In the new trailer, as you can see below, they are much more visible.

The video by Blumhouse largely follows the game’s initial set-up, where a security guard is besieged by possessed mechanical costumes. The animatronics come to life, but for a film adaptation, we need something more, so the story was naturally built around people. The official synopsis of the film, which was released earlier, provided more information on the roles people will play and why they found themselves in this undesirable situation in the first place.
The film tells the story of Mike (Josh Hutcherson; Ultraman, The Hunger Games series ), a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio; Holly and Ivy, Unstable ), haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother over a decade earlier

Recently fired and desperate to look after Abby, Mike agrees to take a job as a night security guard at an abandoned themed restaurant: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. However, Mike soon discovers that nothing is what it seems with Freddy. With the help of Vanessa, a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail; Ty, Mack and Rita ), Mike’s night shifts lead him to inexplicable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.
Where and when will we watch Five Nights at Freddy’s?
Five Nights at Freddy’s will be released on October 27, which is probably the release date fans of the series are counting on, given that it falls right before Halloween. The film will be released in theaters as expected, but due to the film’s unusual release schedule, it will also be released on the streaming service at the same time as the theatrical release.
We will be able to see it on the Peacock platform . Details on which subscribers will get access to the movie have yet to be revealed, but the Halloween movie was only available to Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus subscribers, so it seems likely that the same will apply to Five Nights at Freddy’s .
