Anime is now more popular than ever and we owe its success to its global broadcasting coverage. Once a niche industry, today a medium that brands such as Netflix and Disney are striving for. This means that fans are looking for more and more new series to watch. Thanks to the latest report, we found out which titles are most searched for on the Internet this year.
The data was collected by Broadband Choices in the UK and covers 146 countries around the world.
It turns out that Naruto is the undisputed winner among the anime . Franchise was at the top of searches in 93 countries, incl. USA or Brazil. The series garnered over 16% of the votes. The second place on the list was occupied by Pokemon with a solid 8.8%, leading among others In Australia. Demon Slayer took third place with 7.8% of the vote, mostly in Japan.
