Mortal Kombat 12 was announced last month . Since then, fans of the game have been more curious than ever about what’s next for the series. The craziest speculations are about who will and who will not be in the game. There are some characters we can always count on, such as Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Most slots in the roster will likely be up for grabs, as was the case with Mortal Kombat 11. The installment brought in many fan-favorite characters while also introducing some unexpected heroes. It’s just speculation about which Mortal Kombat characters will return. There will also be guest characters, which for obvious reasons are even more difficult to predict.
For this reason, fans of Mortal Kombat and PlayStation should not expect Ellie from The Last of Us in Mortal Kombat 12 or any future game. Why? Well, Mortal Kombat boss Ed Boon doesn’t want to see a fatality (a brutal in-game fight ending blow) on this character. This may seem obvious considering Ellie is a teenager in the first The Last of Us game.
It’s unclear how serious Ed Boon is here, and whether fans should really consider that there’s no chance of Ellie being among the guest characters in Mortal Kombat 12. Unfortunately , that’s how many people perceive it. We don’t know what PlayStation heroes could take her place. There aren’t many that fit Mortal Kombat 12 apart from God of War ‘s Kratos , who already appeared in the 2011 game. Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal would be a good fit as well. At the moment, however, it is not very relevant, although due to the ongoing work on the Twisted Metal TV show and the alleged game, this may change in the future.
