NetherRealm Studios continues to develop the eleventh installment of the fighting game series. After expanding Aftermath, extending the storyline with a new story and adding three characters, it’s time for more warriors. In addition to Kombat Pack 2, a new edition of the game and the premiere on other platforms have been announced.
There have been rumors about new characters for some time. Thanks to the amateurs of searching for information in game files, the first tips were known even before the announcement of the studio. Yesterday, it was officially revealed that Mileena, Rain and … John Rambo will be in the hands of players as part of Kombat Pack 2. You can see the trailer below.
As you can see Ed Boon and the rest of the NetherRealm team are listening to the fans. There have been requests to add Mileena practically since the premiere of Mortal Kombat 11 . We had to wait longer for the playable Rain, because from the reboot of the series, commonly known as Mortal Kombat 9 . Rambo, on the other hand, is another hero outside the series who will face the series veterans as a guest. In this part, apart from him, Joker (DC), Spawn (Image Comics), Terminator T-800 and RoboCop have already appeared in this role.
In addition to Kombat Pack 2, it has also been revealed that the eleven will be released in the Ultimate edition with all additions. In addition to PlayStation 4, XBOX One and PC, this version will also hit PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X / S, Google Stadia and Nintendo Switch. If you already have this game for PS4 or XBOX One, and you intend to buy one of the new generation consoles, you can upgrade your version to the new hardware for free.
At the end, the developers revealed the new function that the game will have. Crossplay – or “krossplay” – will be available for Sony and Microsoft consoles. This means that PS4, PS5, XBOX One and XBOX Series X / S owners will face each other in some game modes. This has not yet been confirmed for other platforms.
The premiere of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is announced on November 17th.
