More rumors about the plot of the new Marvel series coming to Disney +.
Rumors about a new series focusing on the fate of the Prince of Lies appeared a few months ago. It was officially presented during the Marvel panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con – fans got a logo and an approximate release date on the Disney + streaming platform. Currently, there is more and more information about the production, including the plot.
MCU fan site Cosmic claims that the assumptions about Loki’s travel throughout the MCU have been confirmed, and the protagonist will appear at events known from films, seen from his perspective, where he is to “wreak havoc”. However, this will not have a real impact on the story – through his actions, Loki will create a completely new, alternate reality, which, as you know from Avengers: Endgame , is possible. There was also the question of how the hero goes back in time, if the Space Stone had only up to a certain point.
Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, is excited to return to a role in a different medium. He also revealed that the franchise had never seen anything like this before.
The fact that these films still connect people is an endless source of surprise and joy for me. I knew [Loki] was a complicated persona. Intelligent, yet vulnerable. Furious, lost, broken, but witty. I think [the role] was a great opportunity, I never expected it to grow into so many films. What’s just as exciting is being able to go back to a place, in a given time, back to the characters and back to the stories that we still have to tell. When we announced 10 more movies, people were like “But what about a lot of these other things?” We would reply that “we have a limited number of films we can make in a year.” It is still true, but now we have a different outlet that I think will be unique and special.
Loki is set to debut on Disney + in Spring 2021.
