James Gunn confirmed on Twitter more names that will appear in the new Superman movie. The actors will play lesser-known DC heroes.
It looks like Superman won’t be the only leotard from the comic books to appear in the upcoming production. Other, albeit lesser-known superheroes from the DC Comics universe are also to appear in the new film by James Gunn. On his Twitter, the director officially confirmed the latest casting news.
Nathan Fillion will play Guy Gardner, the sauest member of the Green Lantern Corps. This won’t be the first time she’s played the role of an emerald space cop. Previously, Fillion had the opportunity to voice fellow Lamplighter Hal Jordan on several separate animated projects – including Green Lantern: Emerald Knights , Justice League: Doom .
Hawkgirl, a winged warrior, will be played by Isabela Merced, who can be associated with the title role in the film adaptation of the educational animation for the youngest – Dora and the City of Gold .
Edi Gathegi will play Mr. Terrifica, in the comics distinguished by great intelligence and physical fitness. The actor himself had the opportunity to perform m.in. in the Twilight film series and the crime series The Blacklist .
In turn, Metamorpho, a character who controls the chemical structure of his body, will be played by Anthony Carrigan – known for his role as Noho Hank in the comedy series Barry by Bill Hader.
Superman: Legacy is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
