Sony released a video of Jared Leto’s transformation into a killer vampire, and Michael Keaton goes through additional footage.
The transformation scene shows the biochemist Michael Morbius transforming into a bloodthirsty monster. The man was looking for a cure for a deadly blood disease and accidentally contracted the virus. He turned into a vampire-like creature and in a short video we can see exactly what his transformation looked like and what supernatural abilities he acquired. His body and face turned much more predatory, he could easily avoid the bullets fired at him.
Michael Keaton is likely to return to Morbius as Vulture (this is not officially confirmed yet, but everything points to it). Sony is increasingly developing the multiverse and many new threads begin to connect with the MCU universe. Doctor Strange in the Madness Multiverse also gets final footage . More and more indicate a further connection of universes, which gives viewers confidence that the new overtime will bring changes and additional threads. The news that Michael Keaton is involved in the recording gives viewers hope for a more important role for Adrian Toomes than was initially assumed.
Morbius will debut on January 28, 2022 as Sony’s third Spider-Man Universe movie.
