Discovering new products under the Moomin license is starting to become my hobby and neither I nor my daughter feel bad about it. Recently, in my search, I have come to the fact that thanks to the Egmont publishing house, even children who cannot read yet can begin to get used to the sight of Moomin and his loved ones.
Simple and interesting
Moomin set . Very important things. My first bookcase consists of four hardcover books in a small format (making them perfect for little hands). Each of these publications has its theme, expressed immediately by the title. So we get: Emotions, Colors, Seasons and Family and friends. The topics are appropriately selected for children, as well as presented in a simple and accessible way using the characters known to us from the Moomin Valley. And so, in the case of the seasons, we accompany the heroes during spring cleaning in the garden or summer picnics in the meadow. In the color book, we admire objects and surroundings that have very specific colors, such as the green clothing of Włóczykij or the brown color of the Snout. The emotions are brought closer to us by the exemplary behavior of the characters (Little Mi is brave, Miss Migotka is bored, and Włóczykij is calm). The last publication is a short presentation of the basic set of characters from the world of Tove Jansson. The whole thing also received a cardboard box to hide the books.
Once again, I am like that!
Moomin versions for the youngest are perfect. You can see that someone here has done his homework and understood well how a published book can catch a child’s attention and withstand repeated viewing. The cardboard pages are durable and very convenient to put them through, even when the child does not have well-developed fine motor skills yet. The colors are eye-catching, but not overwhelming at the same time (I can see the consistency here right away, because the illustrations resemble those in the Moomin series for a little older – Search and Find ). The whole thing looks great, and an additional flavor is the fact that you can arrange a picture from the back covers of all books! As if we additionally got a set of four-piece puzzle.
Great entrance to the Moomin Valley
It is one of those practical publications that a child can roll a million times, whether at home or on the road, and she will stand it anyway. In addition, due to short and simple content, an adult who has to read it to his descendants does not get bored after the fourth or fifth time, because there is no specific plot in them. I am very much for the yes and give the highest marks.
