Monument is the second film by Jagoda Szelc, the author of The Tower , awaited by many viewers . A Bright Day - a surprising debut, which won two awards at the Gdynia festival, and a year ago turned out to be an unexpected hit in studio cinemas.
The monument was shown at the Nowe Horyzonty festival, as well as at the festival in Gdynia, where it won an award in the Different Look competition. At both events, it enjoyed very positive opinions from viewers and critics.
A hypnotic and terrifying story about a group of hospitality students who arrive late at night to a mysterious hotel to intern there. It quickly turns out that the place is not ordinary. The despotic manager deprives the heroes of their names and forces them to perform incomprehensible activities. Although the students realize that something is wrong, they do not know that in a hotel time is relative and space becomes an impossible figure.
