“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” – the last trailer was presented

Tickets are on sale now and the film will hit theaters on Wednesday. Paramount Pictures has released the latest trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to be Tom Cruise’s penultimate appearance as Ethan Hunt, a character he first played back in 1996. The film will be Cruise’s first major theatrical release since the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick last May. Dead Reckoning will be a two-part installment. The film will be an epic conclusion to a series of some of the biggest and craziest stunts in the history of cinema.

A “fan event” was held in multiple cities on July 10, and the film is expected to dominate theaters this weekend. Reviews so far have been positive from both fans and critics, with one YouTuber claiming:

I’ve already watched this movie and I can’t believe how many crazy action scenes and stunts they managed to fit into one movie.

You can see the trailer below.

The plot is still mostly shrouded in mystery. The trailers focused mainly on the film’s action and stakes, which include an apparent moral conflict between Ethan’s desire to protect his found family of his IMF teammates and Luther’s (Rhames) desire to complete the mission at any cost. The makers of the film revealed that it will delve into Hunt’s past, which is almost completely unknown prior to the events of the first film.

One particular stunt that has appeared in virtually every promotional material is jumping off a bridge on a motorcycle for a paragliding stunt over a chasm.

Director Chris McQuarrie previously spoke about the importance of the Dead Reckoning title , which was revealed at CinemaCon with the announcement of Cruise’s role.

When I came up with the title, I knew it was more about Part 2 than Part 1, so I ended up choosing Part 1 and Part 2. The title of the first movie was almost… a title that referred to something like Ghost Protocol , it was government policy It was n’t government policy , it was government , what would you call it ? Government measure last resort , with disastrous consequences . By the time we got to the end of Part One , it all boiled down to a completely different set of circumstances that come up in Part Two rather than Part One . So the word would no longer be appropriate for the title of the first part .

 McQuarrie said

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One stars Cruise and returning stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Czerny and Vanessa Kirby. New cast members include Hayley Atwell ( Agent Carter ) and Pom Klementieff ( Guardians of the Galaxy ), Rob Delaney ( Deadpool 2 ), Charles Parnell ( Top Gun: Maverick ), Indira Varma ( Game of Thrones ) and Mark Gatiss ( Sherlock ).

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One hits theaters on July 12.
