Though Hermione was born into an ordinary Muggle family, she quickly proved to be one of the brightest witches of her generation.
elżbieta kutarskaHermione Granger was born on September 19, 1979 in London. She was the only daughter of two dentists whose family so far did not reveal any magical abilities. At the age of 11, however, like the other wizards, Hermione was informed that she had been admitted to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From the very beginning, she showed extraordinary talent and quickly became the top student of her year. Though she did not lack the typical intelligence of a Ravenclaw house, the sorting tiara decided after much thought to place the girl in Gryffindor.
The beginning of school life was not easy for Hermione. Due to her cockiness, she had trouble finding friends and quickly became a joke for her peers. Everything changed on the memorable Ghost Night, however, when the school castle was visited by a mountain troll, admitted by Professor Quirell, who collaborated with Voldemort. Hermione accidentally came into contact with a troll, which put her in great danger, from which she was rescued by Harry and Ron. The witch took responsibility for the situation, which impressed her saviors, and from then on, the three young wizards became inseparable.
Throughout her studies, Hermione developed her wizarding skills while being a learning aid for Ron and Harry, who often struggled with learning difficulties. Her remarkable intelligence helped wizards solve problems during all their years at Hogwarts. It was she who was the first to solve the mystery of the basilisk, although, becoming one of the victims, she was unable to share this information with her friends in time. Her blood status caused her a lot of trouble, especially for Draco Malfoy, who openly called the young witch a slime, the worst possible insult in the wizarding world.
The third year for Hermione had become extremely difficult. While everyone wondered which subjects to continue learning, she chose all of them. It was made possible by Professor McGonagall, who, by way of a special exception, obtained a time-turner from the Ministry of Magic, which allowed Hermione to be present in several places at once. Thanks to her extraordinary ambition, it was possible to save Sirius Black, the godfather of Harry Potter.
A year later, Hermione, to Ron’s displeasure, got involved with Wiktor Krum – the Bulgarian Quidditch star and Durmstrang’s representative in the Triwizard Tournament. Though it tarnished her relationship with Weasley, she remained objective throughout the contest and tried to help Harry as much as she could. During the fourth year, Hermione also became involved in the fate of the house elves, outraged by their slave treatment. So she founded the WESZ association, in which she involved Harry and Ron. The boys, however, did not share Hermione’s enthusiasm, knowing that the house elves themselves did not complain about their fate. The witch then also came into conflict with the reporter, Rita Skeeter, who ironically referred to Hermione as “Miss Perfection.” She also wrote not very flatteringly about the young witch in her newspaper, describing her alleged affair with Harry and then with Wiktor Krum. Hermione, however, did not remain indebted to her and quickly discovered the secret of Rita, who turned out to be an unregistered Animagus. When she threatened to reveal her secret, Rita was forced to stop writing.
The fifth year for the three wizards was particularly difficult. In addition to the return of Lord Voldemort, which no one would believe, the Ministry of Magic began to take control of the study at Hogwarts, which resulted in increasing restrictions on students. On Hermione’s initiative, the Dumbledore Army was created, a secret organization led by Harry, where willing students could practice defensive spells. Ron and Hermione also stood behind Harry, who was accused of everyone lying about Voldemort’s return. In the same year, Hermione and her peers also took their first exams, commonly known as SUMs. Hermione, taking the test of 10 items, obtained the highest scores of 9 of them. Only in Defense Against the Dark Arts did she get an “above expectations” result, which made her quite a disappointment.
The following year marked the beginning of a romantic relationship between Ron and Hermione. Though the friends began to have very strong feelings for each other, neither of them could express them well. So Ron hooked up with Lavender Brown, which was a huge blow to Hermione. To arouse Ron’s jealousy, she hooked up with a member of the Snail Club – Cormack McLaggen. However, she quickly regretted her choice, which satisfied her friend. However, he struggled with a similar problem with Lavender, which tormented him with its presence. Hermione continued to develop her magic skills. She was the first person in the class to cast a non-verbal spell and also successfully passed the teleportation exam.
The sixth year was also the last one three friends spent at Hogwarts. After the tragic death of Albus Dumbledore, Harry decided to spend time searching for the remaining Horcruxes, and Ron and Hermione promised to go with him. The deteriorating security situation for the Muggles forced Hermione to erase her parents’ memories and send them to Australia so that they would not be directly exposed by Voldemort’s supporters. The friends set out on a journey right after the Death Eater attack during Bill and Fleur’s wedding. Hermione, sensing the need to flee, made preparations for the journey shortly after arriving at the Burrow.
The next months passed by friends on dangerous missions, which – mainly thanks to Hermione and her skills – turned out to be successful. Friends’ relationships got complicated after capturing the first of the remaining Horcruxes. Anyone who wore the locket around their neck felt its negative impact. Ron was the least resistant to it, however. He became jealous of Hermione and Harry’s contact, and after one of the quarrels he left his friends. They both had a hard time when their friend passed away, but Hermione, who was in love with Ron, could not come to terms with what had happened. Eventually, the three friends reunited and devoted themselves to the search for horcruxes with redoubled strength.
After destroying all Horcruxes and the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione was the only one of three friends to return to school to complete her 7th year of schooling and pass the exams. Later, she quickly found employment at the Ministry of Magic, where, thanks to her work in the Department of Magical Creatures Control, she continued the mission of the CESA association and managed to significantly improve the fate of the house elves. She also married Ron and they had two children, Rose and Hugo Weasley. In the sequel to Harry Potter – Cursed Child , the topic of Hermione taking over the position of Minister of Magic is raised, thanks to which she became one of the most powerful witches in the wizarding world.
