Ministry of Culture and National Heritage: restriction of the activities of cultural institutions extended until further notice

The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage informs that after the introduction of the ordinance of the Minister of Health on the declaration of the epidemic, restrictions on the activities of cultural institutions and art schools will be extended. In the coming days, an ordinance will also be issued extending the suspension of classes at art academies.

 

The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage informs that after the introduction of the ordinance of the Minister of Health on the declaration of the epidemic, restrictions on the activities of cultural institutions and art schools will be extended. In the coming days, an ordinance will also be issued extending the suspension of classes at art academies.

Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of March 20, 2020 on the announcement of an epidemic in the territory of the Republic of Poland, in the period from March 20, 2020 until further notice, there is a temporary limitation of creative activity related to any collective forms of culture and entertainment, with film screenings or video recordings in cinemas, in the open air or elsewhere; and the activities of film clubs; and the activities of libraries, archives, museums and other cultural activities.

Pursuant to the regulation of the Minister of National Education, classes in art schools are suspended until April 10, 2020. From March 25 to April 10, 2020, teaching classes are to be conducted with the use of distance learning methods and techniques. In cases where such methods are impossible to use, the school head should present a different way of carrying out educational tasks.

In the coming days, an ordinance will be issued on the date of extending the suspension of classes at art academies and the rules of their operation during this period.
