The new Minecraft Legends teaser featured several concept projects where we can see the early stage of mob creation, as well as gameplay fragments showing the finished (or almost) characters in action. Back in August, ComicBook.com informed about the Xbox Booth broadcast, which talked about an opponent called Pigmadillo and new variants of golems. In the last material shown below, we will learn a little more about these variants:
We wanted to create a ranged unit that would act like a turret. The animation department did a great job giving them personality as the plank golem reminds me a bit of a golden retriever. It is rather playful, while the Cobblestone Golem, intended to be an infantry unit, is more direct, a bit slow, acting as cannon fodder. They’ll do their job.
Lisha Leston of Blackbird Interactive said during the announcement.
Of course, the new mobs are not meant to replace the old ones. Considering the fact that we are dealing with a spin-off of the iconic Minecraft , the game will feature Zombies or Creepers that are already well known to us. However, they may be slightly different from the prototypes or even have new skills. The premiere of Minecraft Legends is scheduled for 2023.
