Bong Joon-Ho does not stop after the huge success of Parasite ! There are many indications that Mickey 17 will be the director’s next Oscar hit. The film crew is truly the best of the best. Fiona Crombie ( Cruella) is responsible for the set design, and his collaborator Jinmo Yang ( Parasite) is the editor. The music was created by the amazing composer Jae-il Jung ( Squid Game, Parasite). And let’s not forget the great costume designer Catherine George ( Okja, Snowpiercer) and visual effects supervisor Dan Glass (The Matrix series ).
Who will we see in the cast?
The trailer released on Monday showed Robert Pattinson as the lead actor. He also has Steven Yeun ( The Walking Dead ), Naomi Ackie ( Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) , Toni Collette ( Knives Out ) and Mark Ruffalo ( She-Hulk: Attorney at Law ).

What do we know about the plot?
Mickey 17 is based on Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey 7. The title character is an indestructible worker of a human expedition who is sent to colonize the world of Niflheim. Whenever a mission turns out to be too dangerous or even suicidal, the crew turns to him. After one iteration dies, the new body regenerates with most memories retained. After six deaths, Mickey7 begins to understand the terms of his deal.
In an interview with Space.com , the author of the book himself said about the film and the director:
Bong does his thing and writes the script. He asked my opinion on a few things in the beginning. For example, some details that I didn’t take into account when writing the book, such as: How do creepers reproduce? It was a great question and we discussed it. People asked if I was nervous, since he tends to distract from the source. My answer was absolutely not. This man is a genius. I’ve seen all his movies and he’s never made a bad one. Don’t think he’ll start with Mickey 7. He’ll do a fantastic job.
The film premieres on March 29, 2024. We can not wait!
