Some fans might think of the Back to the Future remake as a film destiny, and the lead actor Michael J. Fox even has an idea for a new incarnation of Marty McFly. In a new interview, the actor shared how to bring Back to the Future – from the past. This time without DeLorean’s help.
Still from the movie “Back to the Future”. Robert Zemeckis
Actually, I figured if they did that movie again, they should do it with a girl as Marty. [In this series] there is something that connects people of all levels. I just feel that history will come full circle.
But Back to the Future won’t be re-screened without the approval of director Robert Zemeckis and screenwriter Bob Gale. The gentlemen revealed that “they do not plan or want to create another movie Back to the Future – neither the foursome, nor the remake of the one.”
Neither Universal nor [the producers] Amblin [Entertainment] have such plans. How do we know? Because, in line with our agreements with these companies, no sequel or remake of Back to the Future can be written without first discussing it with us. No such discussions took place. We are very proud of the trilogy and want to leave it as it is.
