The next titles were made available in the Epic Games store. This week, we will assign to accounts, among others the first installment of the popular Metro series .
Epic Games’ store policy has been causing a lot of controversy for months. Of course, we are talking about gaining exclusivity for the distribution of popular games and attempts to attract new audiences and warm up the image of the platform by giving away free titles every week. It must be admitted, however, that the company selects freebies very carefully and usually these are items that can boast at least good ratings. Often these are also quite fresh productions. It is no different this time.
The main course is Metro 2033: Redux, a remake of the first part of the narrative shootings from the Ukrainian 4A Games. As in the original, the plot tries to recreate the novel by Dmitry Głuchowski, Metro 2033 . However, the whole thing was transferred to the Metro: Last Light engine, which resulted in not only graphics improvements, but also improvements in the gameplay.
The second free game is the extraordinary Everything from 2017. This production is basically an engine for the procedural generation of digital worlds and interaction with its individual elements. Players can control not only various organisms, but also individual atoms or entire planets! The whole is intertwined with lectures by the British philosopher Alan Watts.
