2022 is coming to an end, so Metacritic has published a ranking of the ten worst games of the year. The video game industry is very interesting when it comes to the number of productions released and how they are released in modern times. Anyone can publish a game on digital stores like Steam, making it virtually impossible to play anything. So not all of them will be great.
In 2022, many fantastic games came out, such as God of War Ragnarok , Elden Ring , Sifu , Stray and many others that turned out to be absolute hits. But not every game was this good . Some of these have been fixed over time, but that hasn’t stopped them from gaining notoriety at launch. Not all of them have been corrected, which made them stay in the memory forever.
It’s worth noting, of course, that the games are incredibly difficult to make. The team behind God of War Ragnarok was concerned about its quality just months before release, which shows how things can change at a surprising pace and even extremely talented teams struggle. Some of these games managed to improve a bit after receiving negative reviews and gained extra time to work on difficulties.
