Mega fun – review of the limited edition of the game “Dobble: 100 years of Disney”

100 years have passed… like one day? That’s right, The Walt Disney Company has just turned a full century; the company was founded on October 16, 1923, which is something to celebrate! Now we’ll begin! Who will blow out the candles?

 

But what’s the matter?

Dobble: 100 Years of Disney is a limited edition card. In a medium-sized box you will find a total of 90 cards, which have been enriched with 10 symbols (there are as many as 91 in total!). On any two cards there is always exactly one common symbol and our task – as players – is to find it! Sounds familiar? Yes, because the latest proposition released by Zygomatic – Asmodee Group is a real gem among the more famous brothers and sisters (e.g. Spot it! ). However, it may be that you have never played Dobble before . In this situation, I recommend reading the manual – you will find the necessary details in it, which I – due to the undoubted popularity of the game on the Polish market – only mention.

A popular minigame

Dobble is actually a series of quick mini-games where all players act simultaneously. We can play it both in any order, and we can only play the proposals we like the most. Among these mini-games (to choose from) stand out: The Tower , The Well , The Clash of the Stars , Not Mine! and Triplets . If you are not sure if the game will appeal to all players, it is worth starting a practice round, during which you will see what the mechanics of the minigame are all about. Finally, it is possible to win (the player who first names a common symbol) or a draw (although then a “bloody” duel should be fought).

A real treat for the youngest

Dobble has been gaining fans since 2009. When the Play Factory team started working on the final shape of the game, perhaps they did not expect such success. The proposal that I hold in my hands today is the quintessence of the aesthetics and wonderfulness of the product. Among the heroes that appear on the cards, we can distinguish: Elsa, Nemo, Lightning McQueen, Moana, Cruella De Vil, Mickey Mouse, Luca, Jasmine and Robin Hood. Think how much fun such a game can bring to young people fascinated by the Disney universe. In addition, you will be positively surprised by one more thing – the cards are characterized by a non-standard size, which makes the pictures very clear and transparent. Unfortunately, at the same time, they are not very handy and you have to stretch yourself to start playing them freely.

I recommend the game Dobble: 100 Years of Disney to all children from the age of six and their guardians. During one game, you can engage 2 to 8 people in playing together, which not only allows for multiple interactions, but also leads to closer bonds. The average game time is 15 minutes, so the latest game won’t take you much time, and it will certainly give you a lot of fun.
