The popular rapper founded an independent development studio. The pixel art RPG campaign will be launched soon.
The works of Wojciech Zawadzki, better known under the pseudonym Słon, players recently had the opportunity to encounter in September last year. It was then that the popular rapper, in cooperation with Cenega, created a music video promoting the game Borderlands 3 from Gearbox Software.
Now the artist is trying to enter the gaming world for good. Together with Danisz Tracz (creator of the game Loża Szyderców ) and Kuba Niedziela, he founded an independent development studio – Trippin Bears. Their first project is MEAT – a pixel art RPG, referring to the classics from the 90s. Work on the title has been going on for almost two years, and in March we could hear about it for the first time thanks to social media channels. On April 14, a crowdfunding campaign will start on the Polish portal Wspieram.TO. For fans who decide to support the project, there are a number of prizes: from the digital and boxed version of the game, through an illustrated book and clothing, to a trip to Canada in the footsteps of the heroes, and ending.
The plot of MEAT is a specific combination of genres: history, horror and sci-fi. The game will take users to Canada from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the so-called gold rush. However, the heroes, instead of the precious metal, will accidentally extract a hitherto unknown and – most importantly – mutagenic element, telestarion. This discovery will initiate a whole series of dramatic events. In addition to trying to combat the chaos that will take over the entire town due to the epidemic of radiation sickness, players will have to complete a number of side missions related to, for example, the indigenous inhabitants of these areas, i.e. Indian tribes. It is worth seeing the material in which Elephant tells about the game being created.
