The premiere date of Thirteen Murderers , falling on Easter Night, is not accidental. Here is Alice – the last witch – rises from the dead on the third day to gather thirteen murderers, or rather find and force to join the 12 talents that she will lead. As in the other volumes, there will be no shortage of bloody and demonic scenes, and among the heroes there will be the talkative Sky, the demon hiding in the body of the innocent Gizela and the priest Maks, who is horny for a witch. In the third volume, readers will also meet an original set of new personalities that will not always willing to cooperate.
Thirteen Murderers is a continuation of the story of Alice, who, after losing her parents, unexpectedly begins a new, dark chapter in her life, becoming the last witch on earth. The road to self-improvement is long and bumpy, and the girl’s guardian, called Nielekarz, does not make it easier. Over the years, Alicja understands her destiny better and better and achieves extraordinary skills to control her own and the environment’s energy, becoming a specialist in fighting ghosts and demons. The witch’s power is gaining strength, preparing for a bloody war in which the titular Thirteen Murderers will take part.
Readers had to wait a good few years for Thirteen Murderers . The first release of The Last Witch was in 2015, and Pyromancers in 2019. Alice’s adventures from the borderline of fantasy and horror gained readers’ sympathy, thanks to which the first two volumes were published for a second edition at the end of last year. The author parted ways with the Novae Ares publishing house so that in 2022, using self-publishing, she could present fans with a repeat of volumes 1 and 2, not only in a new graphic design. The second edition has been revised, taking into account the comments of the first readers. Currently, the writer is working on the fourth volume (ending the tetralogy) with the telling title Apokalipsa .
The second edition of the first volumes, as well as the premiere of the third part, are a great excuse to talk to the writer. Thus, on April 13, there will be an online copyright meeting with Maja Szymańska, where she will talk about her work.
