Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith and Lambert Wilson have already announced their participation in Matrix 4. Now Laurence Fishburne has decided to comment on his engagement. In a recent interview with New York Magazine and People, Laurence Fishburne said:
I was not invited. Maybe thanks to this I will write another play. I wish them luck. Hope the movie is great.
The actor’s words seem to indicate that Morpheus will not appear in the production of Matrix 4 . It could have something to do with the fate of this iconic character in the 2005 video game The Matrix Online . Let us remind you that in this official sequel to the story, the hero dies. However, there are speculations that the filmmakers want to keep a surprise up their sleeve and Lurence Fishburne’s participation in the new film production is foreseen, but Lana Wachowski wants to provide viewers with an element of surprise.
