“Mass Effect: Legendary Edition” is one of the most interesting announcements at the end of last year. The creators announced the spring of 2021 as the release date of the refreshed trilogy. Now, however, we probably know the exact date of this event.
Various services, including Eurogamer, reached information from two Asian stores, which agreed on the same release date for Legendary Edition . The sellers mentioned are the Singaporean Shopitree and the Indonesian GSShop. In both cases, the 12th of March was indicated as the release date. So far, there is no official confirmation from BioWare or Electronic Arts.
In November, when the remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy was announced , Casey Hudson – the head of BioWare – promised a modernized version of the original games. It will in no way attempt to retell the story of Shepard and his crew from scratch. Legendary Edition, in addition to the basic three parts, will also contain all single player expansions, including promotional packages. Graphics and technical elements are to be brought up to 4K UHD quality.
A completely new project from the Mass Effect universe is also at an early stage . Unfortunately, there are no details about this title yet. The short trailer published on the occasion of the announcement suggested a return to our galaxy (after an unsuccessful visit to the Andromeda galaxy).
