Recently Jennifer Hale, the actress who lent her voice to the female Commander Shepard, commented on a topic that has been bothering most Mass Effect fans for several days – will Shepard return in a new game, so far referred to by Internet users as Mass Effect 4 or Mass Effect 5 ? BioWare and EA do not reveal any details about the new production, so any information from such a reliable source as the voice of Commander Shepard herself is at premium at this point.
Recently, BioWare shared with the world great news – the studio is working on the continuation of the cult series Mass Effect . Producers also added that it will take a while for more information, but impatient fans have already started to spin theories around the surprising news.
At the British Academy Games Awards, Jennifer Hale was asked if we would see Commander Shepard in the recently announced sequel to Mass Effect . She did not reveal much, although some conclusions can be drawn from her statement in which she addresses the fans:
It is up to you. Show BioWare what you want. Let them know because I think it’s a great idea and I’m sure Mark [Mark Meer, voice of the male version of Shepard – ed. ed.] is of the same opinion.
Fans began to interpret the words of the actress in two different ways. The more pessimistic ones concluded that the above statement clearly means that Hale and Meer are not currently involved in the project, so Shepard’s return will not occur. Others believe that maybe someone else will just speak to the Commander and Commander Shepard in the next section.
For now, it’s hard to say anything more, as BioWare has not released more information on this project so far. Jennifer Hale’s words can also be understood in different ways, so you have to be patient and wait for official materials and statements from the game’s producers.
