So when can we expect What If…?
Recent rumors circulating online are that the series will be released in 2024, which fits with the official Disney+ update. In one of the interviews earlier this year, the director of What If…? Bryan Andrews has said that the second season will introduce many new characters that have not yet appeared on the show .
Now there are more movies and things to draw from, so we don’t have to just have a little moment. We can expand and things can get a little crazier. We’re leveling up in season two, and then we’re just going to be even crazier in season three. In season two, we have a variety of characters that we haven’t really had a chance to meet before, and we’ll see how they integrate with some of the returning favourites. There’s a lot of really cool stuff and I can’t wait for people to see it.
Andrews said.
This will include an all-new hero named Kahkori, a member of the Mohawk Nation .
This is an extraordinary story from the perspective of the indigenous Mohawks, which is truly unique and historic and will give viewers a new, ambitious and salutary look at the first peoples of this land. The story is dramatic, the characters fully realized, and the action moments are breathtaking. The episode is also unique in another sense – it was created with the full cooperation of the Mohawk people, from dialogue to scenery.
