“Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered” – first details

Sony and Insomniac Games have revealed details about the remaster of “Spider-Man”. In addition to technical fixes, there will also be a change in the cast of the game.

Information about Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered appeared on the official PlayStation blog. Among the changes of a technical nature, there will be mainly graphics corrections. The look of New York will be enhanced. In all parts of the city there will be improvements, incl. models of the environment and their shadows. The improvements will also apply to characters. The skin, eyes and even teeth will get brand new shaders. The creators also promise better hair animation to the level of individual strands. The performance of the game will also improve. Ultimately, the title is to run at 60 FPS.

The unexpected change that will take place in the remaster is the one regarding the role of Peter Parker. John Bubniak, who was the face of the main character in the original, will be replaced by Ben Jordan. The creators explained this move by the need to better match the image of the character to the actor Yuri Lowenthal. It was on the basis of his facial expressions that the animations for Spider-Man were created. Such a translation does not look very credible and raises the question why Bubniak was hired at all if he did not meet all expectations. Below you can see what Peter looks like with a new face.

Finally, there is also the issue of game distribution. Well, the title will not be available for normal sale, at least at the beginning. If you really want to beat Spider-Man from PS4 on the new console from Sony, then you must first purchase the special edition of the sequel with Miles Morales. Then you’ll get a download voucher for Spider-Man Remastered . If, however, you plan to buy the basic version of Spider-Man: Miles Morales for the current generation, and then transfer the game to PS5 for free, it will also be possible to upgrade it to the Ultimate Edition  and get a voucher. This procedure is definitely expected to increase the sales of both games and the new console.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will debut on November 12 and will be one of the launch titles for PlayStation 5.
