Last year’s Disney + Day revealed a long list of new Marvel productions to appear on the streaming service. However, two of the projects are said to have been removed from the 2022 calendar.
So far, on Disney + we had the opportunity to watch the series WandaVision , The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Loki , Marvel’s What If …? and Hawkeye , and the next series, Moon Knight , will premiere in late March. However, Secret Invasion and the second season of What If …, which were announced on Disney + Day and were scheduled to air in 2022, were reportedly removed from the 2022 schedule.
Marvel Japan recently showed a selection of Marvel Studios movies and series for the year. It includes Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Thor: Love and Thunder as well as Moon Knight , She-Hulk , Ms Marvel and I am Groot . While the official release dates for Secret Invasion and What If… have not been announced, Cosmic Circus captured a Marvel Japan screenshot in early January, which did not include the last two productions. Of course, if they don’t really show up in 2022, it’s most likely that we’ll see them a year later.
We have received a lot of new information about Secret Invasion in recent days. Movies and photos from the movie set appeared on the Internet. Among them were first glances at Emilia Clarke, Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill) and Ben Mendelsohn (Skrull Talos). There were also messages that Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Carmen Ejogo, Christopher McDonald and Killian Scott will join the cast. Producer Jonathan Schwart also confirmed that Secret Invasion will be different from the version known from comics.
